So we haven’t had much in the form of waves lately here on the Northern beaches. So myself and chumpy decided to revamp the quiver and spray some of our boards to freshen things up a little up. Here is a little edit that we filmed one sunny afternoon at my place.

Maldives

So I just recently got back from a trip to the maldives with my girlfriend Em. We stayed at Hudhuranfushi island resort in the North male atolls. It was a really good trip scored fun waves the whole time and did some unreal snorkelling around the Island. Here are some surfing shots from the trip taken by Richard Kotch.

Hey Everyone,

Sorry the updates have been few and far between. But here was my last edit from the season thats just been. I was lucky enough to have some really good friends from home stop past Tignes for European X games back in march. The contest didn’t go as planned but it didn’t bother me so much because we pretty much spent the whole contest riding powder which I don’t get to do very often and never with good mates. So it turned out to be probably the best event of the season for me and such a fun way to finish off a tough season of competing. Here is a little edit I whipped together from the couple days we spent riding pow!!

Arctic Challenge

Didn’t put it down as clean and big as i would of liked. But you cant have them all!

Episode 2 arctic challenge

Hey Everyone,

So I just finished up with the Arctic Challenge last week. It was a really fun event, the pipe was in good shape and everyone was riding extremely well.

It didn’t go the way i would of liked it to go. I unfortunately missed finals by one spot, so that was a bit if a bummer for me. But I enjoyed my time there in Oslo and am looking forward to getting back there next year!

Sochi Olympic Test Event

Hey Guys,

So I have been here in Russia the past week competing at the Olympic test event up at Rosa Khutor. Things didn’t go as well as I hoped, finishing in 8th place in finals. My riding was feeling really good but just couldn’t put a run down when it counted. But I enjoyed my time being here and checking out the venue, and to experience what russia has to offer was awesome. Looking forward to coming back here next year for the 2014 winter Olympics and hoping to achieve a better result.Here are some clips put together by SSAtv from our week here in Rosa Khutor, Russia.

I haven’t had much time this winter to get any filming done because I have been busy with competing and qualifying for the Olympics. But here is my first edit for the winter. We scored a pretty epic day riding vail a few days ago, it was probably the best day of the season so far.

2013 FIS World Champs

FIS World Champs this year was tuff. Coming into the event I was feeling really good. Had in my head exactly what I wanted to do for my run, It was just a matter of putting it down when it counted. But unfortunately sometimes it just doesn’t happen that way. This year in Quebec we had probably some of the worst weather I have experienced for a event . It started with freezing cold temperatures around -30 Celsius for the beginning of the week and then right in time for finals it decided to dump down a foot of snow, which doesn’t mix well with trying to ride half pipe. I was having real difficulties with speed, I struggled to do my tricks small so it made trying to throw doubles and 10′s for me impossible. But I put down a safety run of a backside air melon, frontside 7, cab 7, frontside 9, backside 9 to finish my run and ended up placing 7th overall. It wasn’t the result I was hoping for but I feel I rode to the conditions as good as I could on that particular day. I really wanted to be standing on that podium again and defending the win that I had back in 2011 at the World Champs in Spain but you can’t have them all. So now onto the next event which is X games happening in Aspen, Colorado. I think this pipe will suit my style of riding a lot better. So bring it on!!!!

Copper Mountain World Cup

Hey Guys,

So i have just finished up at the Copper mountain world cup and things couldn’t have gone better for me. I was lucky enough to be standing on top of the podium again and man it felt good. I landed the run i wanted to do as well as a could that day and just so happy that all came together for me.

Im now in Quebec canada for the next world cup event the (FIS world champs)where ill be defending my title as 2011 FIS world champ. Feeling really good going into this event straight off the back of a win and hoping to be standing on the podium again at the end of the week. More updates to come later in the week but for now here are a few shots from copper and a link to winning in run.
